Support Jordan's Final Journey and Funeral Costs

To all of you out there who loved my brother. To family and friends. To those who have met him in passing or who have known him for forever. To those who don’t know him, but are so kind to support my family in this very painful time. I am reaching out hoping to touch your heart and kindly ask for your help.

My Brother, Jordan, passed away on Friday, August 9th. It was unexpected, and unfortunately, we are unable to cover all of the funeral expenses. Our end goal is to bring my brother home to the Philippines, where he can be buried together with our other brother and father. On top of this, it would be ideal to have a viewing here before bringing him to the Philippines, but we are financially restricted at this time. We are still in the process of figuring out what to do.

My brother had a kidney transplant this year in February. He has been taking immunosuppressants so that his body would not reject his new kidney, but they lower his immune system, making him vulnerable to infections. Unfortunately, he contracted a type of fungus called Histoplasma Capsulatum, and caused what is called Histoplasmosis in his lungs. Most people are able to get better on their own, but due to his low immunity, the infection spread out all over his lungs, causing his respiratory failure.

He was put on a ventilator to help him breathe, but despite the life support and all the treatments provided, he was unable to get enough oxygen through his body. He went into multi-organ failure and passed away 3 days after being intubated.

It is a shock to us and it’s very painful. My brother was fine. And then he wasn’t. He has done a lot for me and my wife and so much for my children. There are a lot things we could manage because he was there for us. I know that he would want to be laid to rest back home in the Philippines. We want to bring him home. Please help us achieve this.
