Hello. My name is Jonathan and I’m asking for your assistance to help my son, Jordan.
Jordan is a Marine Corps veteran who was living in an RV in Orlando, Florida, attending Harley mechanic school. Harleys and the great outdoors were his life passions, in addition to family, and his rescue dog, Reba. His goal was to complete school, come back to North Carolina with Reba, and become a mechanic at a Harley dealership.
He was doing very well, best in his class with a 4.0 GPA, and looking forward to completing school in April 2026. Unfortunately, that dream and enthusiasm came to a screeching halt on July 7, 2025. He was riding his Harley to school when a unidentified box truck cut him off. He and the bike went down, and after sliding and rolling on the highway, his body came to a stop with his legs in the far left passing lane. At that very moment, an 18-wheeler ran over his legs and flattened them. As he lay in the road bleeding out and screaming in agony, help finally arrived 20 minutes later.
Jordan was then rushed to a trauma hospital where he underwent 6 surgeries. The right leg is full of titanium plates and screws, while the left is still questionable. He has a rod inserted in the femur bone, but most of the calf muscle was removed due to rotting from the damage. There’s nothing for the tendons to attach to, and the knee was also shattered. All muscles in both legs have deflated. We still don’t know what will happen to the left leg, but we are optimistic that it will not be amputated.
Jordan is a strong and determined young man, but his head moves faster than his body is capable of doing today. We are looking forward to him starting his long road to rehab.
He is determined to get back to some sort of self-sufficiency so he can get back to his life, which also includes getting back into school.
With limited financial means, I’m here asking for help. I’ve never done something like this, but given what Jordan was doing before the traumatic accident and what he wants to do, we have no choice but to ask for help.
The immediate needs are for a lightweight wheelchair so that it can be easily transported as well as do what it’s intended to do. He’ll need additional medical equipment and we’ll have to have a switchback ramp built outside of the RV so that he can get in and out. The final need will be an automatic sedan vehicle for his independence that he could easily get in and out of and lift the lightweight wheelchair.
Of course, there are other needs today such as medical transport and daily bandages, but his only income is his VA pension, which will make things very hard to do as they don’t cover a lot of what he needs. Again, this is why I’m here asking for help.
I posted two pictures. The one with the horse was taken by me when I drove down to visit him for Memorial Day. The second is him laying in the hospital bed with a service dog that the hospital brought in for him. It was the first time we saw him smile like that
since before July 7th.
Jordan so passionately wants to return to some type of “normal” life. He knows it’ll be a long, hard-fought road. But, he is more than up for the challenge.
I’m not even sure if the target amount we are asking for will be enough, but anything would be better than what we have to help my son retake control of his life with the aids he’ll need to help him attain that goal.
Anything people can do to donate to this cause would be SO greatly appreciated.

Best,
Jonathan
