After dealing with some health issues on and off for a few months, Jordan went into urgent care in mid-October with some severe stomach pains. After a few hours and a CT, he was told that he has cancer in his adrenal gland, pancreas, liver, and hip. Life has changed dramatically since.

Things have moved both quickly and slowly since then. Jordan was officially diagnosed with Ewing's (like) Sarcoma, treated the same as Ewing's Sarcoma. This is an extremely rare form of cancer that typically affects children or those under 20. (Which proves the theory that he is just the most special guy and a big kid.)

First and foremost, the survival rate is "good if we can get it under control early," so he’s moved quickly into treatment with chemo cycles every 3 weeks for 3 days (inpatient) for 6-8 cycles or more depending on the need.

Katie has been a selfless and unrelenting source of support and comfort, advocating for Jordan at every turn. She diligently seeks the best care for him, taking detailed notes, administering medications, calling out the occasional hospital BS, making sure he’s eating, and comfortable in fabulous new sweat suits.
