Support Jordan Jarvis in Her Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Many of you know that my daughter, Jordan Jarvis, had a mass removed from the wall of her intestine in March. The mass was determined to be malignant, and we learned that Jordan was diagnosed with a rare form of Ewing Sarcoma – a cancer normally found in the bones of younger kids. Her cancer was located in her soft tissue, and she's obviously not a child. Leave it to Jordan to be different!

On July 16th, Jordan had her first chemo. We're told that her type of chemo is an aggressive schedule and will be harsh. Currently, we're only 10 days past that first round, and already the process is taking a huge toll on her. She's fighting significant fatigue and nausea, mouth and throat tenderness, and headaches - all to varying degrees, on and off. Last night she was admitted to the hospital with a high fever indicating an infection, which can turn into something quite serious for a chemo patient with a compromised immune system. This most recent hospital stay is expected to be 2-3 days of constant antibiotics, IV fluids, and careful monitoring of her vitals (thank God for her port as she undergoes multiple, daily blood draws). On top of all that, Jordan is facing 5 days straight of chemo August 5-9 that will require yet another hospitalization and new side effects that must be endured (the 5-day chemo is a different mix of drugs from the 1-day chemo). This entire 21-day schedule is considered one cycle....Jordan will have to do this a total of 14 times, as well as radiation at some point. It will likely be Spring of 2025 before the chemo/radiation is complete. To say this will be a long, difficult journey is an understatement.

Although this path has only just begun, Jordan & Kyle (her husband) are feeling the pain of an unstable financial future full of medical bills, missed work, and mounting debt - even covering basic rent, food and gas will be challenging. Jordan has only been able to work a few days since she's begun chemo, and it will get harder and harder as she goes along. Not being able to work consistently will be an enormous hit financially, and Kyle is already balancing two jobs while also enrolled in college!

If you know Jordan, you've been blessed by her bubbly, positive, outgoing spirit and witnessed just how much she cares for others. Right now, you can show Jordan (& Kyle) how much you care about them in return. Please consider donating and sharing this link widely. All money will be used to help cover expenses during Jordan's cancer treatment. Ultimately, being able to worry less about their finances will allow Jordan & Kyle to focus more on what is important - fighting this battle and beating cancer. We know that God is great and firmly believe something good is meant to come from all of this. Stay positive friends, and thank you for your support.
