This is a fundraiser for my cousin, Jordan Huckaby, and his sweet family, Brittany Huckaby (Wife), Kyndall Huckaby (Daughter), and Madisyn Huckaby (Daughter). October 8, 2021, Jordan had a horrifying 30 foot fall out of his tree stand when the platform unexpectedly gave way & his support straps snapped.

He was air-lifted from Northern Louisiana Medical Center to Ochsner/LSU shreveport for treatment. He has suffered a complete break of his left femur (thigh bone) requiring surgical repair/rod placement ( ORIF-Open reduction internal fixation) & an

unstable "Chance" fracture of his L1 vertebrae in his spine requiring an additional surgery today, 10/09/21.

Currently he is in Good Spirits and has a Positive, optimistic outlook! He is expected to make a full recovery with 100% mobility retention but has a long, slow, and intensive rehabilitation ahead of him!

Jordan will be unemployed for many months; while he recovers, as his profession is labor intensive. This accident and recovery will be physically, mentally, and financially challenging for him and his family & he needs our support. He is one of the hardest working, family focused, goal oriented people I know!

Within the next several months, Jordan will have multiple post-op visits, physical therapy, and other medical services that are costly. This fund is to help cover medical costs, travel, lodging, and help offset his loss of income.  His wife Brittany will be working from home and by Jordan's side every step of the way! They need continued prayers and as support as they tackle this stumbling block together. Their faith and love is strong & they will persevere.

 

We appreciate all the prayers and words of encouragement these past 2 days. We know God is what has gotten him through all of this so far with such a great prognosis and we hope everyone will continue to lift him up in prayer over the course of Jordan's recovery.
