We’re the Jordan High School Students Run LA team representing the great city of Watts, CA. We’re excited to take on our first LA marathon together! Our team is made up of seven students who are working hard every day to prove what’s possible and normalize running in our community. While people sometimes overlook Watts, we know there’s so much pride, talent, and determination here—and our runners are ready to show it. Programs like Students Run LA give us a chance to push ourselves, build confidence, and represent our school with pride. We’re not just running for ourselves—we’re running for our families, our school, and everyone in Watts who believes in chasing big dreams. We’re raising funds to help cover race day expenses like gels, running gear, and to celebrate our team’s hard work with an end-of-the-year banquet. Running can get expensive, and we want to make sure every student has what they need to succeed and feel supported.
