Support Jordan Grano's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi Friends of Jordan Grano. We as a community are reaching out to ask for support for Jordan and his family.
Jordan was in a motorcycle accident at around 6pm on Sunday May 26th. He was riding west on Lee Hill and veered off the road and hit a boulder. He was thrown from the bike and landed in a field. He landed on his right side, on his face and hips. His helmet came off upon impact.
He was unconscious and could not breathe on his own when brought to the emergency room. He was in critical condition and doctors were unsure for the first 12 hours whether he would make it. He is now in what they call "stable but critical condition" and all the doctors feel very hopeful that he will survive and recover, though it is still day by day and the recovery will be long.
Most recently his progress has been good. He had pelvic surgery that went well. Plates and screws to hold his pelvis together. He is now conscious, breathing on his own and has at least been able to say his name and date of birth.
Next will be face surgery. Every day his progress seems to be very good. He will be in the hospital for the next two weeks and then to rehab. His parents John and Cyndy are by his side and Jill and the kids continue to visit daily.
Here is the list of injuries he sustained:
-Multiple brain bleeds
-More facial fractures than doctors can count and possible ocular nerve damage in right eye (TBD)
-Internal bleeding around his lungs and bleeding inside of his left lung
-Internal bleeding in his abdomen
-Multiple fractures in his pelvis, one of which has caused the two sections of his pelvis to separate
-Fractured ankle
This will be a long recovery and as we know Jordan had already been faced with West Nile last year. Jill and the kids need support as Jordan will not be able to lend his normal support this summer. Jordan will obviously need help as well. He will face medical bills, monthly bills, and need some breathing room to just recover and not worry about day to day life.
Jordan has always been that guy that says yes to everyone's needs at the drop of a hat, now it's our turn to show him how much we love and care for him. Please share this if you know of someone that has been touched by Jordan's kindness and care.
We will continue with updates here and thank you so much for any help you are able to lend.
