Support the Jordan Family: Help Jonah & His Sister Maddy Stay Strong

It’s hard to put into words the heartbreak and resilience of the Jordan family.

After placing in the district wrestling tournament, one of my student-athletes, Jonah Jordan, returned home to a devastating reality — he found his mother had passed away. Jonah, a committed wrestler and football player, is just a high school student. His 9-year-old sister is now also under the care of their older brother, Jeff, who is only 22.

Jeff is no stranger to perseverance. A former two-time district champion, regional champion, and 7th place state finisher in wrestling, Jeff earned a Division I football scholarship to Marist College. He was forced to leave school early during a previous family emergency and has been working ever since to support his siblings.

The Jordans have not had a stable home throughout this school year, and the weight of raising two younger siblings is now fully on Jeff’s shoulders. He works seven days a week just to make ends meet. When this tragedy happened, I wanted to immediately offer help—but the Jordans are proud and were determined to support themselves.

Now, I’m asking for your help. A generous lawyer has offered to set up a trust at no cost, and 100% of all donations will go directly into that trust to support Jonah and his little sister with monthly living expenses. My goal is to raise enough to give them at least $200 a month to help cover essentials.
