Support Jordan and Baby Westyn's Recovery

My wife, Jordan Rogers, went into Greenville Memorial on the 16th with active contractions. On the 17th, the pain became more than just contractions, and the amazing team at Greenville Memorial rushed her into an emergency C-section. Once they got her open and ready to get our baby Westyn, they realized her uterus had ruptured, a more than normal rupture. Our baby Westyn was hanging out of her uterus when they opened her up. He lost blood flow and oxygen during this time, and my wife lost a lot of blood and had to have a hysterectomy. Thankfully, my wife is in recovery as well as our Westyn, who is in the NICU. They put him on a cooling blanket and started something called therapeutic hypothermia, where they cool his internal body temperature down to stop any possible swelling or damage. Along with that, our little one suffered a collapsed lung. I’m glad to say both mom and baby are doing much better, and we, as well as the doctors, are optimistic that baby Westyn will be just perfect. Unfortunately, due to this unexpected emergency, I have not been able to work and will not be able to work until I know my wife can take care of herself after this major surgery and will be going back and forth to Greenville for our baby, who we haven’t been able to hold or feed until they warm him back up and take an MRI.
I don’t expect anything from anyone, but anything would be much appreciated to help us through this time until I am able to get back to work. Thank you and God bless.
