Support Jordan After His Serious Accident

Hey y'all, I’ve been told by so many people to do this and I’ve debated for almost a week now. It just honestly hurts so much to have to ask for help, but sometimes you have no other choice.

I’m now trying to find the best way to raise money for our family now that Jordan will be out of work for a while. We are a family of 5; we have 2 girls that are 8 and a baby boy that is 2. Jordan is our provider for our household and now that he may be off work for 6+ months and his short-term disability is only going to pay $300 a week since he’s got a union job, it’s not only now hurt him physically and mentally but financially. It is better than nothing, but when that can’t even cover rent and groceries for a month, let alone everything else, it’s tough. Also, his short-term disability can take up to a month, as human resources told me today.

Please don’t feel obligated; just know your prayers are just as good. We are so very grateful for everyone that has been praying for him and our family. For those that don’t know, Jordan was in a really bad accident. He was riding his dirt bike home from work when a car was coming around the curve on his side of the road. He had no choice but to either hit the car head-on or go over into a ditch and try to make it on the other road, but that didn’t happen. He lost control; his dirt bike went into a stop sign and made him fly into the air about 20-30 feet and back onto the ground. This happened on June 25. It caused serious issues with his leg. He’s undergone one surgery and now is waiting for his second surgery. He honestly doesn’t know how many surgeries he will have to go through or how long he will have to be in rehabilitation.

I also want to say Jordan is a very well-loved guy and loves everyone he comes into contact with. He never meets a stranger and would literally give the shirt off his back for anyone. I just would love to help him more since I can only work PRN at my job, so I don’t make much at all. BUT I won’t be able to work for a while because we don’t have any help with our little boy, and he watched him while I worked. To get a lot of stress off him, he does so much for our family, and I know he’s beyond stressed about everything and knowing he can’t go to work or trade around like he used to and provide for his family. But if nothing else, just PLEASE PRAY. Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts.
