Hello, my name is Shemikia. I'm fundraising for my one and only sibling, Jonta Simpson. He recently underwent a life-saving kidney and pancreas transplant, a miracle we've been praying for.

At just 7 years old, Jonta was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes- a disease he's faced with incredible strength most of his life. His health took a devastating turn 7 years ago when he developed kidney disease, which ultimately led to 3 years of dialysis.

Despite the toll it took on his body, my brother never lost hope and continued to fight through his battles with a positive outlook.

This transplant has given him a second chance at life, and we are beyond grateful. The journey has only just begun as he now faces:
