Support for Our Family During my Dad’s Recovery from a Ruptured Aneurysm
Hi. I’m Kaidan, 1/6 of Jon’s kids and I’m reaching out on behalf of our family during one of the most difficult times we’ve ever faced.
Recently, my dad suffered a ruptured aneurysm—an unexpected, life-threatening emergency that required immediate brain surgery. While we are grateful that the 1st of many operations was successful, his condition remains extremely serious and full of unknowns. Dad (Jon) is currently in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator, as his body fights to stabilize and heal. Each day brings new challenges, and his recovery has been a rollercoaster of more downs than ups.
As our dad remains in the ICU, unable to wake up or breathe on his own, our family is doing everything we can to stay strong for him. But now that it is day 6 since his first surgery (there’s been 2 since) the emotional toll has been matched by a heavy financial burden.
Our dad has always been the main provider for our household and still is even now that he’s only responsible for 2/6 of his kids and his wife of 15 years. With him unable to work, and with no clear timeline for recovery, we will very soon be struggling to manage daily living expenses—like house/land payments, car insurance, medical insurance, food, bills, and transportation to and from the hospital. The stress of not knowing how we’ll make ends meet is becoming overwhelming.
That’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe—to ask for help from anyone who is willing and able to support us during this uncertain time. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward keeping our family afloat while we focus on what matters most: being there for our dad/husband and giving him the best chance at recovery.
If you aren’t able to donate right now, please consider sharing this page. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the MOST to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
