My name is Zach, I am asking anyone who can help my friend with his recovery efforts to please considering doing so. Mu friend is Jonny ( Jonathan ) Hernandez.
- Johnny loves to ride his bike all over the city of Pittsburgh. We have great river trails, which I have biked myself. The city lights are beautiful at night. . Jonny’s been doing this for years. However, unfortunately on Monday night 4/13, when Jonny was heading home, he was hit by a truck. Jonny is always so careful. He knows to cross at lights, intersections and said he was doing that last night and was hit while making his way across the street. It’s like the vehicle came out of nowhere. We thank the person for stopping. Sadly, Jonny suffered sever fractures to his left leg and pelvis. Jonny has already had two surgeries to fix his left leg , where his femur was fractured in three places, and he is due to have a follow up surgery tomorrow, Wednesday, April 15 for his pelvis fractures. Jonny has a long road ahead and Jonny could use any help and assistance as he looks to needing to spend his time healing and rehabbing. Jonny lost his BMX bike last night, his only form of transportation. Jonny is not going to be able to do anything for a while. Therefore, Please consider helping my friend out, as he’s a young guy, only 19 years old, like so many of us just trying to figure out life and just starting our journey, filled with challenges of all kinds, but no one ever sees this type of challenge coming.
