Help Us Support Jonny After His MND Diagnosis.

Hi, I’m Ana, and this is my husband and love of my life, Jonny.

For over a year, we asked the NHS for help. We raised concerns about MND due to family history with this condition. We were told it wasn’t that. Our fears were dismissed while Jonny’s symptoms continued to worsen: weakness, tremors, difficulty swallowing, intense fatigue, and emotional changes.

As his condition progressed, we made the painful decision to seek private care. We used all of our savings and the funds raised here to pay for neurologists, tests, and consultations.

At the end of February 2026, we finally received the diagnosis: Jonny has MND (Motor Neurone Disease).

Because of the progression of the disease, Jonny will now be medically retired due to disability. He has no life insurance, and we are not currently receiving government financial support. From now on, all household expenses will fall on me.

We were married in September 2024. I have always been someone who romanticises life, who makes plans and dreams about the future. Only God knows how many plans I made with my husband. my biggest dream was to see him as a dad. Something I now don’t know if I’ll ever get to experience with him. Today, I am making different ones: adapting our home, preparing for palliative care, physiotherapy, mobility equipment, and doing everything I can to protect his quality of life.

We don’t want finances to be the reason we cannot pursue treatment options or clinical trials if they become available.

It takes strength I didn’t know I had to ask for help like this. From the bottom of my heart, I am asking you to help me ensure that nothing is lacking for this man… one of the most extraordinary human beings I have ever known.
