Hello. My name is Lauren Dilts and I have created a GoFundMe page for my sister-law Joni Vogel. As many of you might know, Joni has ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. This terrible disease has no cure. It is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. She needs donations for a motorized wheelchair, medicine, adaptive equipment, personal care and many other items to help her maintain as much of a quality of life as possible. She and her husband Kevin are also looking into a wheelchair van for transportation for doctor and clinic visits. Anyone who knows Joni knows that she has always been a kind, giving, and caring person. She and her husband are well known in Butler and other areas, especially for their community service. This diagnosis has turned her and her family's lives upside down and she really needs support and love now.
