My name is Sarah Mervine & Jonelle Aquilino is my sister. Only 15 days ago Jonelle’s life changed dramatically when she found out she had stage 3 rectal cancer. The last 2 weeks have been an absolute roller coaster & she has the fight of her life ahead of her. Her doctors are optimistic but have been transparent that these next 11 months will not be easy. Jonelle works as a surgical scheduler in a very busy setting & loves her job & all of her work family But unfortunately this battle ahead means she will need to be out of work to pursue her treatment and healing process full time. Jonelle has so many people that love her and support her & we will all envelope her at this time . Taking a leave of absence will obviously mean finances will become a burden.
