Our world has been flipped upside down. At just 40 years old, my primo-sobrino Jonathon is currently facing one of the toughest battles of his life: Stage 4 Peritoneal Cancer. As a family, we are doing everything we can to support him, but the journey has brought many unexpected challenges and expenses. As many of you know, living in the San Luis Valley adds an extra barrier to medical treatment, and Jonathon has already been flown to Colorado Springs three times to receive appropriate care, including the partial removal of his colon and intestines.

The costs of treatment, medications, and constant travel to and from Colorado Springs have quickly added up. While Jonathon remains hopeful and determined, the financial strain is overwhelming, and he has had a lot of difficult days—both physically and emotionally. Every dollar raised will go directly toward his medical bills, travel, and for the care of his puppies (Bambi, Rosey, and Whiskey). Jonathon will eventually receive chemotherapy in Alamosa, but currently, all care remains in Colorado Springs, which requires weekly trips. We are seeking support to help ease some of the financial burden so he can focus on healing and spending time with family and friends.

Jonathon has always been a source of strength for those around him, and seeing him go through this has been incredibly difficult. We appreciate all of the prayers and support.
