Jonathan Tyson Nevels was a kind and good kid, always respectful and thoughtful. I was a father figure and mentor to him. Jonathan was incredibly smart, holding a 4.0 GPA in grad school for Clinical Psychology. He loved helping the homeless and anyone in need, and his friends often leaned on him for advice. He had a passion for reading, writing, coding, and animals, and his compassion touched everyone he met.
On 5/2/2026 at approximately 1:30 am, Jonathan was involved in a fatal car accident on the Interstate 8 freeway. His sudden passing has left our family heartbroken. Jonathan had no insurance, and we are now faced with the unexpected costs of his funeral services. The funds raised will go directly to covering these expenses, and any remaining proceeds will be given to his grieving mother to help her through this difficult time.
Any help and support is greatly appreciated at this time. I myself have donated to many friends, families, and strangers in need, via GoFundMe and other methods. Your kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference as we honor Jonathan’s memory and support his loved ones. Thank you for considering a donation and for sharing this fundraiser with others.
