Dear friends,

Many of you have followed Holly Chenault’s rare medical journey where she was diagned with CVID, Lupus, CRPS and POTS, which she undergoes weekly donor cell infusions. More recently, many of you have followed Hollys pregnancy journey with their twin daughters, Hailey Anne and Haiden Laine.

From approximately weeks 16–20 of pregnancy, Holly experienced constant preterm contractions and gradual dilation. On October 2, 2025, Holly presented to her high-risk OB team at UMMC for a routine appointment. Despite contracting every 3–5 minutes, she was sent home. Between October 2 and 5, her husband, Jonathan, drove her three hours back to UMMC multiple times, and she was discharged each time. On October 5, 2025, Holly began to hemorrhage at home, prompting another three-hour drive to UMMC–Jackson. During that Emergency Room visit on October 5th, 2025, she was admitted.

On October 7, 2025, Holly suffered a sudden medical decline. At that time it was determined that she was suffering an internal hemorrhage. The medical team had no choice but to perform an emergency cesarean section at just 27 weeks’ gestation to save Holly and the twins’ (Hailey and Haiden) lives. Holly decompensated rapidly by going into hemorrhagic shock, which required three blood transfusions and three platelet transfusions.

On October 17, 2025, the NICU team shared that both girls had undergone brain scans. Hailey’s scan was clear, which was a great relief. Haiden’s scan showed two brain bleeds (hemorrhagic strokes): a small bleed in the left hemisphere and a larger bleed in the right hemisphere.

On October 20, 2025, the NICU team shared that Hailey had been experiencing bradycardia and apnea spells. Out of an abundance of caution, a cardiac evaluation was performed. Unfortunately, the studies revealed abnormalities, and Hailey was diagnosed with PDA and ASD.

• PDA — Patent ductus arteriosus, meaning a vessel remained open after birth, leaving a hole in her heart. PDA can sometimes close on its own over time, but it is not guaranteed.

• ASD — Atrial septal defect, meaning there are three holes within the septal wall of her heart. These will require intervention.

Haiden — Her echocardiogram (ECHO) was clear, with no abnormalities noted.

To remain close to the twins, Jonathan and Holly are living in Jackson while also traveling back to the Ark–La–MS Delta to be with their other two children, Brantley (11) and Hannah Claire (17 months).

The path ahead will be long, challenging, and costly. Any amount you can contribute will directly support medical expenses, travel, lodging, everyday necessities, and care for all of their children.

If you are unable to give, we completely understand. Your prayers, encouragement, and sharing of their story mean the world to them.

Thank you for surrounding Jonathan, Holly, Brantley, Hannah Claire, Hailey Anne, and Haiden Laine, with your love and support. We are deeply grateful for your kindness through this difficult season of life.

DISCLAIMER: Holly and Jonathan truly did not want to create a “Go Fund Me” account. However, with the outpouring support they have received asking for ways to help, they chose to go against their own advice to allow a “Go Fund Me” to be created to give others an option to donate if they so chose.
