Support Jonas's Urgent Dental Care

My name is Courtney and I am raising money for my 8 year old son, Jonas, to get necessary dental procedures. He needs 8 teeth worked on with two minimal crowns and 6 fillings. Dental health has always been a struggle as Jonas battles oral defensiveness due to Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. Oral defensiveness is when the child has a negative sensory experience in or around the mouth. This causes extreme physical, emotional, and behavioral responses when doing things like eating or brushing teeth. This also means that extensive dental procedures are extremely difficult if not impossible without general anesthesia. In our case the anesthesiologist does not accept any insurance and therefore we are to pay their out-of-pocket cost.

Dental offices do not accept payment plans and require full payment before the appointment.

Our household has survived on one income for many years as I have only recently been able to find a low paying part time job. Like many we have thousands of dollars in debt, including student loans and medical debt. Our budget is already stretched beyond breaking and we cannot take out any more loans or credit cards.

Without help we will not be able to pay for these dental procedures. Without treatment cavities can get worse and lead to pain, infection, and possible tooth loss. Worse than that infections can spread to surrounding tissue and cause abscesses or spread to other parts of the body.
