Dear family & friends of Jon Henriksen,
As many of you know Jon is in the fight of his life with cancer. In May, while helping his mother battle cancer and then grieving her death, Jon was diagnosed with throat cancer.
With the support of his loving wife Kerry and their amazing family and friends, he is determined to beat this to the curb.
Jon will be in treatment starting the first week of July through to September. He will undergo radiation and chemotherapy followed by months of rehab and recovery. Kerry will take off as much time from work as possible to help fight this with him.
Their household income has been drastically reduced and having funds available to them to assist with their daily living expenses and the many unexpected expenses they are discovering (such as supplies and equipment necessary to keep his environment sterile during his treatment period, etc.) will allow them to focus on Jon’s recovery and not about how to pay bills.
With thoughts of service, caring and compassion for others, Jon and Kerry want to make sure that his fight will impact and inspire others. Kerry is a professional photographer, and together through photos, and in Jon’s words, they will document and share his journey. They will be providing photos and stories regularly that will be posted to keep us all updated on his treatment.
Jon and Kerry are struggling with the concept of having to ask for help. I reminded them of the heart of giving that they each have so truly demonstrated to others, and that they have a community of people who love them and are eager to help.
If you can donate to help Jon and his family defeat cancer, every little bit will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for being part of their community. I look forward to watching this campaign hit its target!
