Support Jon Shea's Musical Comeback After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of September 27, 2024, noted bassist and educator Jon Shea, like so many other Tampa Bay residents, was impacted by the widespread destruction of Hurricane Helene.
Among his many losses were the instruments he uses to earn his living, including his upright bass (which ironically was rescued from Hurricane Katrina), keyboards, recording equipment, effect pedals, and other gear. While FEMA and insurance will cover losses to housing, furniture, and vehicles, it's typically up to the individual to pay for musical instruments that need to be repaired or replaced.
I'm starting this campaign so that the local music community (and others) can help a fellow bass player get back to laying down some grooves, making people smile, and earning a living. The funds from this campaign will go directly to Jon so he can replace and repair his musical instruments.
