News spreads fast and by now many know that a good friend and familiar face to many, Jon Nadeau had a near tragic accident on his lobster boat this afternoon. Jon was out hauling lobster traps like any other day, his motor malfunctioned and blew up, causing the boat to burst into flames instantly. Jon was able to escape with minor injuries after getting thrown backwards, but his dog wasn’t as lucky. His dog Red was thrown from the boat and has suffered fairly serious injuries. At this time, funds are limited so Red was stabilized and Jon brought him home to hopefully start healing. They both have a long road to recovery as the boat is a complete loss. 

I am reaching far and wide and to all fishing communities to rally for Jon and his dog. Let’s show Jon what the community is capable of and get him and his dog back on their feet.
