Hello, my name is Melany but many of you know me as the artist @kaohit on Pinterest or instagram.
I’ve never been one to ask for help when it comes to financial matters, as I like to work hard and prove that I deserve that money - but for the first time ever I’m asking for help for my baby’s sake.
this is my dark calico baby, Jolyne. She is 3 years old, has a very sensitive stomach and has Pica disorder.
when we first adopted her, she was able to eat fine but as time passed she wasn’t able to keep food down for longer. I’ve tried everything I could, I’ve gotten different types of over the counter medicines (vouched by vets) and many types of different easily digestive cat food… but she always seems to revert back to throwing up everything she eats.
this is one of the over the counter medicines I started giving her 4 days ago at the start of march, which honestly worked amazing! She was able to keep food down and I was relieved. But after 2 days she began to hack everything up again, even at random times when she’s sleeping. She would wake up just to throw up and go back to bed. Even if her stomach was empty, her vomit was only liquid and foam but with a pink tint that alarmed me.
the vet assured me this isn’t deadly or major but it can be irritation from throwing up 3-4 times a day.
She hadn’t eaten in 2 days at this point, since march 4th. Jolyne is a big foodie, so the fact she was rejecting food also alarmed me.
i took jolyne to the vet with 2 of my friends and the vet told me that it looks like jolyne is very bloated and has a bit of liquid and a lot of gas in her stomach and intestines. (The chart is still being completed, but I will update this with more images once I get a hold of them). The vet also mentioned it looks like there is nothing blocking her path but there is some grainy remains towards her colon which shows she probably ate something foreign that’s currently passing. (Due to Pica.)
thankfully, this morning on march 7th, I was able to get her to eat vet approved food with the appetite inducing medication.
as of march 7th, jolyne has been doing great so far but she most likely will need further visits to ensure her health is not at risk if she throws up again.
im asking for financial help, in case things go south and also because i was billed $1073.78USD. I have 2 weeks to pay this all off or interest will start stacking up.
It says I owe $0.00 because I had already paid. Here’s the charge on the card:

i live alone with my 3 cats and pay bills of $1,600USD on a $2,000USD monthly pay.
this was unexpected, but any funds will go towards jolyne’s health as her new diet can cost up to $80usd for 24 cans of specialized food for her.
I will work hard and overtime at my job, even with any funds I’m given. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING can help.
Thank you so much.
