This week, our family received news no one expects to hear. On February 10th, Jolee was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. Just one day later, she bravely began her first round of chemotherapy.
Jolee is only 16 years old — but she carries a strength and kindness beyond her years.
Anyone who knows her knows how gentle and caring she is. She is the type of person who shows up for others without hesitation. She works after school, wakes up early to feed and care for her horse, and finds joy in riding — it’s where she feels most free and most herself.
Over the years, Jolee has quietly overcome more challenges than most adults ever face. Through it all, she has remained soft-hearted, resilient, and full of compassion for others. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Her treatment plan includes six months of chemotherapy. Doctors are optimistic, and we fully expect Jolee to beat this. But the road ahead will require strength, consistency, and support.
While insurance covers part of treatment, our family is facing high deductibles, co-pays, ongoing scans and labs, and lost income as her mom steps away from work to care for her during chemotherapy. These costs add up quickly over the coming months.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
- Medical deductibles and treatment costs
- Required scans and lab work
- Transportation to and from treatment
- Supportive care during chemotherapy
- Covering lost wages so our mom can focus fully on Jolee’s recovery
Our goal is simple: remove financial stress so Jolee can focus on healing.
If you are able to donate, share, or keep Jolee in your thoughts and prayers, it means more than we can express. Every contribution helps provide stability and strength during this fight.
Jolee is strong. She is hopeful. And she is not fighting this alone.
