Update: I lost my best friend today at only 2 my hearts broken and my thanks goes out to everyone who's supported me and shared this. He was still the sweetest till his last moments and his sister and me are gonna miss him everyday. I'll be leaving this up for anyone that wants to help with the vet bill i'm left with or can at least share this with anyone, thank you

This is my cat jojo he is my first pet and very precious to me, last night was one of the most stressful situations i've been in when i noticed him acting very unusual. He was lethargic and verbal but instead of his sweet meows he was letting out distressed growls as unlike anything i've heard from him.

Me and my girlfriend rushed him to the ER to learn some gut wrenching news that he was super bloated and his urinary tract was blocked and needed some life saving surgery before it took him. I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life to either save his life or let him go and as someone already managing student loans, a car payment, insurance, and rent, this bill is overwhelming.

In reality i'm in no place to be doing the surgery and i know it but I couldn't even really consider the possibility of losing him at only 2 years old so I decided to go through with the surgery, the vet team immediately did blood work, x-rays, and put in a catheter to clear his urinary system. Without treatment, he wouldn’t have survived. Thankfully, he’s stable now, but he still has a long recovery ahead.
