Dear Friends, family and all who read this,

After extensive testing and procedures, with heavy hearts we share that on September 2, 2025, Jolonda (JoJo) Carter was given a dual diagnosis that is life threatening. For the past five (5) years, JoJo has been a devoted caregiver to several members of her family, all while losing five members of her immediate loved ones in just six years, including her beloved mother last year. Through every hardship, JoJo has been a warrior for every trial at her feet, but now she faces the fight of her own life.

Her medical team has mapped out an aggressive medical plan that will begin with three major surgeries, which will leave her unable to care for herself and her son for at least three months. After that initial recovery period, she will require additional surgery, followed by another month of healing. In the meantime, she faces numerous appointments and pre-surgical procedures that are both physically and emotionally demanding.

Those of you who know JoJo know her as a woman of unwavering faith, a tireless worker, and someone who always puts other before herself. She struggles with asking for help, and despite all she has been going through, she has continued to put on her best face and “all’s good” spirit. Many are only now learning the depth of the medical challenges she has been quietly enduring until the recent reveal of her diagnosis.

This week alone, JoJo has had three (3) appointments, and as she prepares for the journey ahead with being a one-income household, we humbly ask if you can find it in your heart to provide financial support during this critical time. Your support would assist with copays, medicines, in-home care post-surgery, medical supplies, extended medical treatment, and peace of mind concerning essential financial obligations such as living expenses.
