I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help for a dear friend of mine, Joielle Burns.

Joielle, recently received the call that every mother dreads—her oldest son, Adrian Lombard JR “AJ”was involved in a devastating car accident in Florida. He was life-flighted to Kendall Hospital in Miami, where he remains in critical condition, intubated, this will be a long and uncertain journey.

Since the accident, AJ has undergone multiple major surgeries, and there are more to come in the days ahead. His journey toward recovery will be long and uncertain, and he continues to fight for his life in the intensive care unit.

Without a second thought, Joielle flew from Rhode Island to Florida to be by AJ’s side. She packed a small bag and left behind everything—including her younger son, Damon, who is now being cared for by his grandmother .

This has placed an overwhelming emotional and financial strain on Joielle and her family. Between travel, lodging, meals, and the countless expenses that come with supporting a child through a medical crisis far from home, the burden is immense.
