My name is Joi McPherson and on September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene came through our neighborhood totaling both of our vehicles and making our home unsafe to occupy. We were not required by our mortgage broker to carry flood insurance and our HO insurance company has denied coverage because it was a flood that caused the damage to he home and property. We are now reliant only on what FEMA will help us with and we don't know what that will look like as we have yet to see an inspector. Regardless of that, we can't safely transport ourselves or our kiddos until we can replace one of our vehicles. One was totaled by insurance and the other only had liability coverage. All your help is appreciated!
