Support John Sentovich's Journey Back to Health
Donation protected
On December 31, 2020, John was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was rushed to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. John had been experiencing unexplained symptoms for several years but a diagnosis was elusive. By the time he reached the hospital he was in serious jeopardy, suffering from severe encephalitis (swelling of the brain). Under the care of a world-renowned neurosurgeon and his team, John underwent surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery was successful, but John experienced many complications that subsequently resulted in four more surgeries, including three additional brain surgeries. After five surgeries, 600+ tests, and more than 35 days in the ICU, John is finally in a good place and ready to be moved to acute care rehab.
Let's get Rockford's George Bailey back to his wonderful life!
John is a living miracle but his journey ahead is long and, even with good medical insurance, expensive. We, his friends, know the kind of man John is—a dedicated husband, father, and brother; a hard worker; and a man devoted to God and community. He has spent his life loving and supporting his family and helping his community. Now it’s our turn to help him. Please prayerfully consider donating to this fund to help pay for medical expenses, hospital fees, future surgeries, radiation treatment, home nursing, travel/hotel fees, medical equipment, and home adaptations such as a walk-in shower.

John has been married to Paula (Manarchy) Sentovich for 29 years and they have four beautiful children—Nick, Margaret, Thomas, and Sarah. His family is so grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love shown for John. Any funds collected that are not needed will be donated to a local charity of John’s choice. Please feel free to share this fundraiser. May God bless you and reward you for your generosity.
