Support My Kidney Transplant Journey

Hi I am kris 45 years old, 2 daughter father, and I am happily married for over 20 years. I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in November of 2022 and when I found out I was already stage 4. Immediately I was being prepared for dialysis. I weighed over 400 pounds at my 1st dialysis treatment. After losing some water weight and making some lifestyle changes I managed to get down to 315lbs. But then I suffered a heart attack because of the weight I had been carrying in may of 2023. After heart surgery I continued my journey to lose more weight and get approved for a kidney transplant. One year later I was down to 278lbs and am currently going thru evals for kidney transplant and hope to be added to list in next few weeks. List could take 2-5 years or more but if I had a living donor it could be months. I am stepping outside of my comfort zone to ask people to do something to save me and save my family.

I want to go back to a normal life and be able to have energy to play with my kids and do more with my wife and continue to grow my career at work. I love my job because I work for the best place ever. At SCSDB they work with me thru this and I still deliver the best service I possibly can to them. I recently was employee of the year while going to dialysis 3 times a week.

More importantly than financial considerations, I urgently need a kidney donor who can significantly improve my quality of life and that of my family.
