Support John's Journey to a New Heart

Hi, My name is Leanne and I'm John's sister. A lot of you may know him as Big John. John got sick at a mere age of 18 years old with no explanation as to why he was sick and what made him sick. When looking at John you don't typically see a man who is sick he is a very happy guy who doesn't allow his sickness to define him. John was diagnosed with Dilatated Cardiomyopathy and Congestive Heart Failure at 18 years old. In that same year he had his first surgery having his defibrillator placed. Since then John has had countless trips and stays at UVM. John had a very complex case and at this point UVM has done all the can do for him and he is now in Boston. Today August 5, 2024 John is having a Cardiac Catheter done to determine his time frame for an LVAD pump to be placed until he is a candidate for a heart transplant. My mom Celine who is selfless, is in Boston with John now but we all know how expensive hotels can be especially in Boston. So myself and my siblings are starting this fundraiser to help with the costs of travel for both John and my mom and for my moms hotel stays and any bills that may arise while she is away being with my brother and not being able to work.
