Supporting John & Amanda During Recovery
This past weekend, John and Amanda experienced an unexpected and life-altering moment. John, a devoted husband, father, and friend, suffered a heart attack and underwent emergency quadruple bypass surgery. He is currently recovering in the hospital, where he is expected to remain for the next 7–10 days, followed by a significant period of healing at home.
John is 52 and otherwise healthy, and his prognosis is excellent. Even so, his recovery will take time. As a photographer and small business owner, this season of healing means time away from work, and financial support will allow him to focus fully on recovery without the added stress of financial strain.
John and his wife Amanda are parents to three children. Their family includes a daughter with developmental disabilities who relies on full-time care, as well as an 11-year-old still at home.
In addition to everyday family expenses, John carries ongoing business costs, including maintaining his photography studio, so that when he is healthy and able, he can return to the work he loves and has built with so much care over the years.
Anyone who knows John knows the kind of person he is: steady, kind, humble, and deeply generous. He is the kind of person who shows up for others without hesitation, a calming, loving presence in every space he enters. This season will require him to receive help instead of giving it, which does not come easily.
We are hoping to raise $40,000 to help support John and Amanda through the next several months. covering essential living expenses, medical and recovery needs, and keeping John’s business expenses covered during this unexpected pause.
If you are able to give, thank you. If you are not, your prayers, kind words, and sharing this page are just as meaningful. We are deeply grateful for the care and community surrounding John and Amanda during this time.
