Hello, my name is John Petrus, and I'm reaching out to my friends, family, and community during a time of both incredible achievement and unexpected challenge.

This December, I will be graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Geography Resource and Environmental Studies. This degree represents years of hard work and dedication, and I am so excited to use it to build a meaningful career. However, just as I'm preparing for this new chapter, I was recently in a car accident that completely totaled my vehicle. While I am physically okay and immensely grateful for that, I've been left without reliable transportation. After the accident, the San Marcos Police Department declined to assign blame to either me or the other driver due to a half cooked investigation, so I am receiving no compensation. As a retail worker navigating the financial stress of this economy, the prospect of replacing my car on my own is overwhelming. My current wage simply doesn't make it feasible. A reliable car is now the key to my fresh start.

I have always believed in working hard and being self-sufficient, but sometimes life presents a challenge that's too big to handle alone. So, I am humbly asking for your support. This will allow me to continue working, launch my career, and truly begin the next phase of my life that I've worked so hard for.
