John has been fighting cancer for a year, including 28 rounds of chemoradiation, 6 rounds of chemo, and a major surgery. It has been ROUGH, and the fight continues as he is most likely now Stage 4. We still have 6 kids at home, including a disabled adult. If you would like to help us with medical and travel expenses, we greatly appreciate it!

His surgery (LAR and TME) in October went very well, but they found cancer still alive in 6 out of 21 local lymph nodes. His scopes and scans are clear, but his ctdna tests are positive. Ctdna predicts metastasis with 95% accuracy. Odds are the cancer has metastasized, but it’s not big enough for the scans to pick up yet.

We would like to fight this as HARD as we can, and find it as SOON as we can. We’ve decided to get care from top cancer centers, right now we are looking at City of Hope in Duarte, CA, and MD Anderson in Houston, TX. This change will cost us at a minimum $5,000 on top of other medical expenses.
