Dear Friends and Family,
On August 7th 2024 our beloved father was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). A rare group of bone marrow failure disorders, where the body no longer makes enough healthy, normal blood cells in the bone marrow.
For those who know our family, you know what an extraordinary person our dad is. For those who don't, let me share a bit about his life. Our dad has been the rock of our family, always caring for others before himself. From raising two children, including my sister, his strength and kindness have shaped us who we are today. My dad has undoubtedly touched many of your lives with his witty jokes, kindness, and warm smiles.
Three years ago, my dad was diagnosed with rectal cancer. Undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery he completed remised. Unfortunately, cancer has returned and is now fighting with MDS.
Now, he needs our help more than ever. We have started his cancer treatment at Baptist Health Lynn Cancer Institute in Boca Raton, FL. The doctors have laid out an extensive treatment plan, including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, medications, and supportive care.
This journey will take a tremendous toll on our family—mentally, emotionally, and financially. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support. Sharing this message can expand our fundraising efforts and also promote cancer awareness.
All donations will be used for 100% medical expenses and treatments!
Cancer is a dreadful disease, but we refuse to give up without a fight! Your support, love, and prayers will make this fight possible! While he cannot accept visitors right now due to being immunocompromised by the chemotherapy, and other medications, there are other ways to support him.
