This Go Fund Me is set up to help my daddy, John.

He was diagnosed last March with Lymphoma & simultaneously his job of nearly 20 years came to an end. He started treatments in May. He is in remission but still receiving treatment.

since then, he has also been solo parenting my brother with no in person or monetary child support.

this multi-layered situation has created quite a challenge for him to be able to obtain and/or maintain full time work to support them both. the treatments “allow him to work” meaning he was denied disability. as one knows, these treatments are rough on the body and do in fact have many side effects that have impacted his physical abilities to work full time.

We have explored as many benefits as possible both locally and through the government. After much rejection (including disability- which he now has an attorney working towards) and meeting lots of dead ends, there isn’t much support available and the rubber is meeting the road.

Fortunately they have food stamps but this has come to the point of keeping or losing the home he has worked hard for. The credit cards are tapped out and bills are continuing to flow in. The attorneys estimate up to 2 years before the disability case will settle and maybe back pay.

We ask if at all possible, for help to maintain their home. this is to raise the funds to maintain their mortgage payments through June when treatments are scheduled to end.

My daddy is an honest, hard working man going through a tough spot. If you can donate or possibly have home projects you need a handyman for, he could possibly trade work for a donation as well. Any and all help is so deeply appreciated.
