Support John's Fight Against Burkitt Lymphoma
Donation protected
John was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma on August 29, 2024. You can read more about his journey with being diagnosed and treatment updates on his CaringBridge here .
Things have already been difficult financially with the sudden and unexpected loss of my (Casey) job in the middle of July. I was not given severance, my PTO bank, or any notice. Thankfully, I have been able to secure a new job, but building up a caseload is slow going and difficult with unexpected appointments.
John has been putting in some hours for work right now, but he is very sick, and it is hard to tell what the future holds. Even with this, we are incurring expenses outside of our "normal" expenses. The next few months will involve inpatient stays for intensive chemo at Mayo Clinic and other appointments.
Any financial assistance we receive will help us offset the added, unexpected costs of: driving back and forth to Rochester, lodging, food, medical expenses, etc.
Other assistance that would be appreciated, if you would like to give another way: gas cards (Kwik Trip, Hy-Vee, any major gas station), coffee cards (Caribou, Starbucks), grocery cards (Walmart, Target, Hy-Vee), etc.
Non-financial assistance: messages of support (CaringBridge, text, call, social media), good thoughts for John, sharing this and his CaringBridge, meals, errands or any other help, visiting John in the hospital when he is up to it.
We love you. Thank you for reading.
