On May 15th, 2024, my older brother, John Proia succumbed to a long term battle with mental illness when he took his own life, in public, at a Home Depot full of people in Rochester, NY. (Johnny is pictured as the photo bomber in the main photo with some of my family) Johnny’s death is an unbearable shock and trauma for myself and my entire family. Our father passed away from COVID in 2020, and since then, my brother was never the same. We are grieving for our loss and also for those affected by this unfortunate tragedy.

My brother didn’t have life insurance and so the burden of his funeral falls on my mother and myself. All donation contributions will be used for his funeral expenses so my Mother and I can lay him to rest in final peace next to his Father.
