As all of you who know and love our friend John, know, he is not one to give up without a fight. Many of you have contributed either your time or money, or both, to see to it that John has been cared for in his time of need, both medically and personally. The result of which has been to extend his life beyond what was previously thought, and we are grateful.
Those efforts may have been cut off prematurely last time, so we are making this plea once again.
John is now in hospice for the final weeks of his life, and he once again needs our help to sustain a modicum of comfort that hospice will provide. Along with medical care and monitoring, there are additional needs such as hearing aids that John needs desperately. We’re asking that you please give what you can and please try to make arrangements to either go and see or reach out to John as we say our final goodbyes.
Please see below a personal note from John to all of you.
From John:
Friends and family, I'm extending my everlasting gratitude for your support, your kindness, and your willingness to be patient.
I am officially enrolled in Providence HOSPICE. It is time for me to look at the whole picture and determine what is best for me regarding end-of-life decisions. I make this decision with a very heavy heart and some reasonable amounts of fear.
Many thanks to all my great friends that have extended their love to me through the years and know I reciprocate fully and with all my heart.
