John Major, my father, a loving father of three children and devoted husband to his wife of 22 years. He is an active member in the community, always helping out those in need. Little did anyone know that beneath this generous exterior lurked a hidden illness: stage 4 colon cancer.
The diagnosis came as an immense shock to John’s family and friends, but he remained determined to fight with all his might despite the odds being stacked against him. The good news is, the doctor told us it can be cured once the tumor is shrunk through radiation sessions and chemotherapy. Once shrunk, they can go ahead and remove the cancerous part of the colon and end with more radiation and chemotherapy to ensure the cancer is killed. Unfortunately, these treatments come at a hefty price tag that is beyond what our family can afford on our own.
My dad is a fellow Green Giant! The class of 1985, is leading the charge with fundraising and has issued a rallying cry for all giants, family, and friends to sow a seed, thus the GoFundMe page. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in helping us cover the cost of treatments and medications for John's cancer battle. We know that times are tough right now and money is tight but if you could find it in your heart to help us out in any way possible it would be greatly appreciated.
John has been an incredible husband, father, friend, neighbor and role model to so many people throughout his life - please consider donating to his cause today! Thank you for taking the time to read our story and thank you even more for considering a donation. God bless you!
