Hello friends and family,

In the thick of the holiday season this year, for those of you who don't know, our dad was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung cancer. For those of you who don't know John, this diagnosis makes him apart of that statistic that proves that lung cancer is not just a “smokers disease” as he has never smoked a day in his life.

John is loved by so many because of his selflessness and generosity that has touched so many over the years. His life at home is no different. The amount of love John gives his family is a special bond that cannot be replaced. While we begin to wrap our minds around what we've learned about his health, he’s surrounded with the most loving support system. Chemo is already expected to happen in the coming weeks, and he will be fighting with every ounce of strength he has. However, so much more of his treatment plan is still unknown. Though this is still early in his fight against cancer, we are already anticipating the financial responsibilities this journey will accrue.

To focus on his health while undergoing treatments, he can no longer perform his obligations as a caregiver of the house. Since being diagnosed, he has been restrained from doing the things he loves most, such as going on walks with the dogs, working on projects around the house, or going to the gun range. With medical bills, ongoing treatments, and everyday expenses, this has been overwhelming for him and our family.

We are reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share our dad's story in hopes of giving him a peace of mind at least on the financial side. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in easing the financial burden on our family and allowing us to focus on supporting John through his treatments and recovery.
