Johnny and I have been friends for as long as I can remember. Growing up together, I’ve seen firsthand how he’s always been the first to lend a hand to anyone in need, never asking for anything in return. Recently, Johnny faced a life-changing medical emergency. It started with an ulcer on the bottom of his foot, which led to a hospital visit and surgery to clean out the infection. Unfortunately, conflicting medical advice delayed his healing, and a new ulcer developed. After another hospital visit, doctors determined that the infection was severe enough that they needed to amputate his leg below the knee to save his life.

This has been an incredibly difficult and unexpected turn for Johnny. The road ahead will be challenging, with many adjustments and expenses. The funds raised here will go directly toward Johnny’s living expenses, mounting medical bills, rehabilitation, and the mobility aids he’ll need as he recovers and adapts to life after amputation. Every bit of support will help him regain some independence and work toward a new sense of normalcy.
