Hey guys, I’m Storm Chaser Johnny Weaver. I currently live in Clearwater Florida. So I flew to Jamaica to report on Major Hurricane Melissa. Once I arrived, I drove 2 hours to my hotel in Negril, Jamaica. Once I arrived and continued to see the latest weather updates, I realized the gravity of the situation was going to be very severe, specifically the aftermath. Well that day, this little puppy came and started licking me and jumping on me so I sat down. Before I knew it, we played for almost two hours. That entire night the pup slept next to my door. When I woke in the morning I decided to head back to the US. Unfortunately due to many regulations I couldn’t just take the pup with me, it needed vaccines, and a whole bunch of paperwork. So I had to leave him in Jamaica. The next few days were very hard because I didn’t know if he would survive being out in the elements. I did a bunch of digging and was able to find the phone number to the manager of the hotel. He said he would keep him safe and bring him in during the storm. He delivered and I just got word the puppy is alive and well❤️❤️❤️. I plan to let the dust settle and head back to Jamaica once the rescue operations are complete to help around Negril as well as get him vaccinated and ready to fly him back to the US. I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me asking about a Gofundme. So here it is, this will go towards flights, vaccines, hotel, and whatever is left I will be donating to the manager for saving this pups life. I likely will name him Mel, short for “Melissa”.
