Support Johnny's Fight Against Lou Gehrigs

For the past two years, our dear friend Johnny Castillo has been dealing with Lou Gehrig’s disease and fighting for his life like a true warrior. Johnny has been my best friend since childhood, and we came to Taos together over 37 years ago to learn to ski and work at Taos Ski Valley. We are like brothers. Those of you who have the pleasure of knowing him know that he is a generous, kindhearted, and humble man who is always looking out for his family and friends.

Johnny’s wife, Kate, and their three young kids have been by his side, taking care of his needs since this started. Kate is a superhero and has stepped up to the plate, tirelessly and lovingly taking care of Johnny and the family. Instead of accepting the grim prognosis associated with this disease, Johnny and his family have chosen to stay hopeful and continue to research and seek alternative treatments. As you can imagine, this path comes with many out-of-pocket expenses.

We are trying to help cover these expenses, recent hospital bills, and the specialized equipment associated with Johnny’s condition.
