Support Johnny Ringo's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
I want everyone to meet Johnny Ringo. He was dumped like alot of other dogs here in Georgia. He showed up lastnight at our place starving and scared. This happens frequently where we live.
Ringo is extremely under weight with his hips and ribs showing. He also has a couple large growths on his chest that may be cancer.
After talking to a local volunteer rescue, group we have decided to foster Ringo. In his condition, if turned over to the local shelter he would most likely be euthanized. We believe Ringo deserves a chance at a better life.
Ringo has a appointment with a local vet and a few people have offered donations to his care. We have had a few donations called into the vet to help with his care.
Thank you to in advance to all that donate and to all that rescue dogs on their own.
Update 10/08/24
Ringo had his appointment with the vet yesterday. Some good news and some bad news.
The Good News
The growths on Ringo's chest have turned out to be lipomas , not cancer. They still need to be removed but are not life threatening at this point.
The Bad News
Ringo is heartworm positive. This is life threatening. The treatment is hard on healthy dogs , let alone the malnourished state he is in. The treatment for heartworm in expensive and recovery is a long process.
We believe Ringo is worth saving and have started this Go Fund Me page to raise enough money to give Ringo the life he deserves.
Treatment for the Heartworms and the lipomas are going to cost $1500. Also he will need to be neutered and that will be another $300.
Any donations to his Go Fund Me page will go to Woodbury Animal Clinic where he will be treated.

Thank you in advanced for any donations that you make. I will keep posting updates on Ringo and he goes through this journey of recovery.
