The City of Chicago has taken severe and unjust actions against Johnny Jimmerson, Leo Rodriguez, and Keia Yates, who were beacons of strength for us all by bravely attaching their names to the class action lawsuit. Through malicious prosecution and retaliation, the city has initiated wage garnishment proceedings, demanding an overwhelming sum of $40,214.30 from them.

We were Aviation Police officers until a July 2017 incident at United Airlines made national headlines. Due to negative publicity, the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois stripped our department of police powers and terminated the involved officer. While they had the right to make this decision, they also erased our history as officers. We hired an attorney and fought, but lost the case. As a result, the City imposed a $40,213.30 bill and began wage garnishment on June 22, 2024.

Johnny, Leo, and Keia have always stood up for what is right, fighting tirelessly for our officers as they stood strong as union representatives. They have been unwavering in their dedication, and now, in their time of need, it is our turn to stand up for them.
