A couple of weeks ago, my father John suffered a stroke that required emergency surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain. Thankfully for his neighbor Angel (who is now deemed an actual angel in our family!) - he was able to make it to the hospital & is on the road to a fairly speedy recovery, all things considered.

My father has been enduring heart health issues his entire life due to AFib , but things have escalated drastically over the last 5 years. This condition has required several surgeries and costly treatments, all of which he has covered himself with a (very) little bit of help from insurance.

Now that he is moving into this next chapter of healing, he will require PlaqueX treatments to remove build up in his arteries so that he does not face the risk of another stroke or heart surgery. These treatments will be required 2x a week for a minimum of 8-12mos, and each treatment is $275, so he's looking at a pretty costly road to recovery.

If you know Johnny G, you know he's not one to ever ask for help. You might also know that he only has one kid (who lives across the country) and no significant other, so he tends to be a lone wolf. That's why I'm extending an opportunity for the communities he's supported over the last several decades to provide some relief for him during this time so he can focus his energy on healing, rather than on the financial burden of these unexpected procedures.
