Help Support Johny in His Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

Many of you know Johny, the kind-hearted owner of Ernie’s Septic Tank Service here in Porterville. He has been a familiar face in this community for years—always showing up, always helping, and never hesitating to lend a hand to anyone in need, no matter the circumstances.

Today, we are asking the community he has supported for so long to help him during the most difficult fight of his life.

His Battle

Johny was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. His doctors have recommended 8 more treatments of chemotherapy, which means ongoing travel, medications, and significant medical expenses. The physical toll has been immense, and he has been unable to work at the level he used to.

A Business He Still Wants to Protect

Even while fighting cancer, Johny’s biggest worry hasn’t been himself—it has been his employees.

He has always believed in treating his workers like family, and now, with business funds depleted, he is struggling to keep three employees paid while he is unable to work. Closing the business would mean not just the loss of his livelihood, but the loss of income for three local families who depend on it.

Anyone who knows Johny knows that he would go without before letting someone else suffer.

Why We’re Asking for Help

We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden during this urgent time, including:

    •    Medical expenses and medications for ongoing chemotherapy

    •    Payroll support for his employees while he undergoes treatment

    •    Basic living expenses while he is unable to work

and to supplement any wages lost from his wife missing work to transport and give care during this crucial time.

Our goal is to raise $60,000 to help cover these costs over the coming months (6 months of chemo, then surgery and recovery). Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference.
