It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John Allen Lancaster on August 11, 2025. He was born in Peoria, Illinois, on September 10, 1947. He was 78 years old.

Johnny was a Vietnam Veteran, a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He spent 38 years with his loving wife Cheryl, and together they created memories to last a lifetime.

John loved spending time with family and friends, a good home-cooked meal, great music, and a nice whiskey. Most folks in Bonita Springs, FL, know him as Johnny Cabana. He will always be remembered for his sweet laugh and kind smile. We will miss him forever.

We appreciate all of the love and kindness sent to Cheryl and the family in this time of mourning. The family is asking for any donations to help go towards the cremation and the spreading of his ashes in Illinois in the coming months. We thank each and every one of you for your support.
